Memorandum of joint cooperation between Sahand University of Technology and Rasam Polymer Named Knowledge based Company

In line with the expansion of mutual understanding and joint scientific-research and educational cooperation and to improve the capabilities as well as strengthen and establish systematic communication between Sahand University of Technology and Rasam Polymer Company, this memorandum of understanding between Sahand University of Technology, represented by Mr. Dr. Ali Baradar Khosh-Fitr Vice President of Research and Technology of Sahand University of Technology, hereinafter referred to as University, and Rasam Plimer Nami Company represented by Mr. Engineer Arash Rahimi Nami, a member of the board of directors of the company, hereinafter referred to as Company.

Article 1- Objectives of the Memorandum

The purpose of setting up and implementing this memorandum of understanding is to expand cooperation between the university and the company in scientific-research and educational fields and development projects, especially in the field of polyurethane industry and other high-performance polymers, taking into account all the facilities and powers of both parties. It is from technical, production, human and information, experience and their expertise. By signing this memorandum of understanding, the parties have given their utmost efforts to expand cooperation on the subject of this memorandum and will not refrain from any efforts in this direction.

Article 2- axes of cooperation

The two parties agree to cooperate in the following areas according to the goals of the memorandum:

1- The formation of joint specialized committees between university and company experts to exchange opinions, check and evaluate the problems in the production, research and development, quality control and technical and engineering units of the company and the participation of Sahand University of Technology as an arm of the company;

2- Support prioritized research projects in specialized committees, approve and provide financial credit and required facilities;

3- Reflecting the research priorities and technological needs of the parties to each other;

4- Guiding and supporting academic theses, especially in master’s and doctoral degrees, in line with the company’s research needs;

5- Conducting research and technology studies in the field of developing technical knowledge and transferring technologies needed by the company;

6- Cooperation in holding joint meetings or relevant specialized conferences and workshops;

7- Participation in the company’s development plans;

8- Holding short-term training courses in order to improve the scientific ability of the company’s experts and researchers and university professors and students;

9- The parties benefit from each other’s facilities such as intellectual, experimental, research, laboratory, workshop and library capabilities;

10 – providing the possibility of visiting laboratories and scientific units – research to create common cooperation fields;

11 – Cooperation and support in holding conferences with the permission and approval of the company’s board of directors;
